Survivor: Wild West was the third season in KidA's Survivor Series. Casting began on March 12th, with the season beginning a week after. It features eighteen brand new castaways, split into three competing tribes. 33 people applied to the season, meaning 15 were cut from casting.
Survivor: Wild West also introduced the Ghost Town Twist, in which two eliminated castaways would compete in a duel at Ghost Town; the winner returning to their original tribe. Survivor: Wild West was the first season to feature more than two tribes, the first season to feature a major twist, and the first season to have more than 16 castaways.
After the season wrapped up, it was met by a largely positive response, despite controversial decisions made during the finale. Due to activity, big game moves, and being completely unpredictable, Survivor: Wild West was considered a fantastic season.
